The New Orleans Arts Market (formerly the Mid-City Art Market) is presented by the Arts Council of New Orleans on the last Saturday of each month at Palmer Park.
The Bywater Art Market takes place on the third Saturday of each month in Markey Park at the corner of Royal and Piety.
Several New Orleans Art Museums are worth considering
The New Orleans Museum of Art hosts the NOMA Museum shop where select items are available online. A more extensive selection is available in this fine New Orleans art museum.
The Ogden Museum of Southern Art is another New Orleans Museum featuring a fine gift store offering the work of southern artists. The Ogden Museum hosts the The Museum Store and Center for Southern Craft and Design. They are open during museum visiting hours, and is a destination in itself. Each are available independent of a visit to the Museum. Members receive a 10% discount for purchases in the Store.
If visiting, check out the New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center. The New Orleans CAC is conveniently located across the street from the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. While not featuring a gift store, CAC New Orleans is worth a visit while in the area.

Jackson Square is the center piece of the New Orleans French Quarter. Here, original New Orleans art and French Quarter art are offered by Jackson Square artists, who are routinely present during day light hours.
During the last weekend in April and the first weekend in May, Louisiana artisans are showcased during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The New Orleans Jazzfest as the locals call it, features the Louisiana Folklife Village, Louisiana Marketplace, Congo Square and Native American Village markets for Jazz Fest attendees to purchase one of a kind art. Visiting artisans are also featured in the juried Contemporary Crafts fair.
